Week 5

I have brown eyes and brown hair which I think is a very boring combination so I have always hoped that at least one of my children would have a more exotic eye colour. So far, Blake's eyes have remained blue and I am enjoying it fully. With blue eyes and blonde hair, he couldn't look any more different to me if he tried, but I love that about him. Gorgeous blue eyed baby boy :)

Week 3

'Baka' is the Croatian word for Grandmother, she is my Grandmother and also a Great-Grandmother to my children. Baka is my role model and my inspiration and it is a privilege to have her be there for my babies as they grow. Even though she lives on the other side of the world, we make a concerted effort to see each other every few years. Seeing her is important to me, because she is important to me.

Week 2

I have wanted to take a photo of Hannah's gorgeous 'button' for some time now. It might sound strange, but I love my children's belly buttons... they were, after all, connected to me for nine long months and are now the only physical illustration of that special connection. I sometimes look at my own overstretched and worn out belly button and remember that my mum grew me in her belly and that thought gives me a more balanced perspective on life. The circle of life is neverending :)

Week 1

The moment I captured this photograph I knew it was an instant favourite. Blake is now 12 weeks old and his little legs are constantly moving making it very diffcult to capture a focused photo of his feet but I somehow managed it. Totally delicious.
